Come to Manly Jazz Festival!

Are you a big fan of jazz?  This is your lucky weekend.  You still have the chance to celebrate the 38th Manly Jazz festival.  Come to Manly and enjoy some of jazz’s finest performers!  From Sat 4 Oct to Mon 6 Oct 2014 you will have the honor to listen to Monica Trapaga, to the trumpet player Terell Stafford, to Lionel Cole and to many jazz performers from across Australia and around the world.  So, what are you waiting?   Keep in mind the fact that Manly Jazz Festival is considered to be Sydney’s biggest celebration of jazz.  Start looking for accommodation Sydney Manly!

It is great to know that Manly Jazz celebrates many music styles.  Needless to say, the location of the festival is unique.  There is not one single stage for the festival.  On the contrary, there will be intimate indoor venues and big outdoor stages along the famous Manly beachfront and Corso.

You will have the chance to listen to trumpet player Terell Stafford in his only public Australian performance right on Manly’s beachfront.  He will perform on Monday 6 October, at 3pm on Oceanfront Stage.  The great news is that there are no costs attached.  Not too many people know that Stafford has played with famous jazz musicians including the Frank Wess Quintet, the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band and the Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Alumni Band.  Believe it or not, he has performed on over 130 albums including with GRAMMY Award nominees Diana Krall and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.

On Oceanfront Stage, on Monday 6 October, at 1.30 pm, you will have the chance to listen to Bite of The Big Apple feat Monica Trapaga.  Who has not heard of her?  She is the most famous jazz and swing entertainer in Australia.

If we have not yet convinced you to book accommodation at a hostel Manly for the Manly Jazz Festival, Lionel Cole will certainly do.  He will perform on 6 October, at Beachside Arena, at 4.30 pm.  Who has not seen Lionel Cole’s successful appearance on “The Voice”?  Not too many people the fact that Lionel Cole is part of a family of real musicians: Freddy Cole, his father, is Grammy nominated jazz musician, Nat King Cole is his uncle and Natalie Cole is his cousin.  The excellent news is that you do not have to pay any ticket in order to benefit of this royal music festival.

Come to Manly this weekend and you will benefit of quality time with excellent music in a unique location.  This is tempting…Why wait?  What can be more relaxing than a festival in the sun and by the seaside?
